Lodging and Camping Inside the Park (unless noted, open year round):

Apart from eight basic campground cabins, Redwood National and State Parks does not have any lodging. However, the surroundings towns such as Crescent City, Klamath, Arcata and Humboldt offer plenty of accommodation options.

Campground and cabin listed below are managed by California State Parks and reservations can be made via www.ReserveCalifornia.com. Standard camping fee for all sites are $35 per night and cabins are $100 per night in the Summer ($80 per night in Winter)

  • Jedediah Smith Campground (86 sites): developed. RV, trailer, and tent sites. Four cabins available, ADA accessible. ADA designated campsites are #13, 17, 25, 37, 39, and 41

  • Mill Creek Campground (145 sites): seasonal from mid-May through September, developed. RV, trailer, and tent sites. Six ADA accessible campsites with paved pads are dispersed over the north and south campground loops

  • Elk Prairie Campground (75 sites): developed. RV, trailer, and tent sites. Four cabins available, ADA accessible. A small number of camp sites at Elk Prairie Campground are set aside for people that hike or ride bicycles into the park. Hike and Bike sites have a $5 per person camping fee. ADA designated campsites are # 6, 22, 23, and 69

  • Gold Bluffs Beach (26 sites): developed. RV and tents only

There are seven designated backcountry campsites area for those who like to get away and find a trail to themselves. Permits can be requested online up to 160 days in advance but no later than 24 hours prior to your planned camping date. Check out this page for more details on each site and locations
